Course SCC Safety for operational managers

The Safety for Operational Managers course was developed by ARBO Rotterdam on the basis of the attainment targets as determined by SSVV (Foundation for Cooperating for Safety) and the Central Board of Experts. The SCC for managers course is certified by the CBR / CCV in the context of the Professional Competence Directive (compulsory refresher training for driver's diploma, Code 95).

Course program

The course that is given during 2 days or 4 evenings / half days (each of 4 hours) contains the following modules:

  4. Fire and explosion hazard
  5. Confined spaces
  6. Tools and machines
  7. Hoisting, lifting, carrying, tripping, slipping, falling
  8. Working at height
  9. Welding
  10. Personal protective equipment
  11. Safety, health and environmental legislation and European directives
  12. Occurrence of an accident and the consequences for the policy to be pursued
  13. Methods to promote safe working
  14. Purpose of procedures and permits
  15. Task & risk analyzes
  16. Physical factors
  17. Ergonomics

Mock exam

At the start of each subsequent course, the student takes a mock exam. The results of this are discussed in detail with the students. If necessary, the teacher will indicate that more self-study is desired.

Trainer

The course is provided by a trainer from ARBO Rotterdam under the direct responsibility of the training coordinator and the management of ARBO Rotterdam.

Exam and diploma

After completing the course, the students will take the exam. During this exam, which falls under NEN-EN 45013, 70 multiple choice questions are presented to the student. Upon successful completion, each student will be awarded the Basic VCA Diploma. This has a validity of 10 years.

Certificate

The ARBO Rotterdam course is concluded with a valid personal certificate.
