Secondment of safety expert

Safety takes an increasingly important place in high-risk projects in, among others, (road) construction, industry, (petro) chemical, demolition and maintenance work and possibly in your own organization.

ARBO Rotterdam has a large number of experienced safety engineers MVK/HVK for secondment during shorter or longterm projects in the petrochemical, construction and industrial sectors both in the Netherlands and abroad.

Various circumstances can pose additional risks with sometimes serious consequences:

  • Clients and executing parties are getting busier when realizing a project;
  • Schedules are getting tighter, the workload increases;
  • More work from various disciplines must be carried out simultaneously;
  • A temporary shortage of expertise among contractors and clients;
  • Need for extra supervision on the construction site.

In order to meet the demand for (temporary) MVK-ers (Safety Experts), HVK-ers (Safety Engineers) and QHSE coordinators (Quality, Working Conditions & Environment), ARBO Rotterdam has an MVK, HVK and QHSE- pool of employees.

ARBO Rotterdam uses this pool to connect supply and demand. The aim is to achieve the best possible match.

Activities for which the specialists of ARBO Rotterdam are seconded include:

  • Setting up and / or maintaining one of the possible management systems;
  • Optimize the organization of the safety policy;
  • Provide practical support to the Management Team;
  • Supervising the workplace during maintenance stops, turnarounds and shutdowns;
  • Providing internal safety training;
  • Fixed support in the field of quality, working conditions / safety and environmental care;
  • All other occupational health and safety related tasks.

Secondment method

An intake interview will determine what your wishes and requirements are. What is the desired level of expertise? Which other competences are necessary to achieve optimal results in your business situation? After this conversation, we make a first selection from our own employees and from a circle of people with whom we have good experiences. The CV of these candidates will be presented to you and you will then have a personal meeting with the selected advisor(s). You can then determine your final choice for secondment.
